this cultivar is a seedling of "Rawson Seedling 7-1" ×
an unnamed seedling of
H. 'Mysterious Cat'. It is a medium size hosta about 12 inches high by 18 inches wide with medium
green foliage that has a yellow marginal variegation.
The leaves are relatively flat overall and shiny on top.
The flowers which bloom
in August were described as: "interior shows distinct
stripes of white & deep violet with white margins while
the exterior hosts more random splotches of white on
deep violet." It produces viable seeds. The
registration materials state: "Typical
H.
sieboldii plant form whose scapes are loaded with
fully recurved, dark violet & white flowers."
