Robert
Savory
of Savory's Gardens in Minnesota registered this
seedling of H. nakaiana in 1977. It is a small size plant
about 10 inches high with a spread of around 22 inches. The
leaves are green and heart shaped. They are slightly shiny on
top but very shiny on the bottom. Medium purple flowers bloom in
July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...the flowers of 'Soft Touch' come closer to those of
H.
capitata in form and color."
