Registered by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan in 2002, this cultivar is a seedling of an H. 'Dorothy Benedict' seedling. It is an upright growing, giant size (37
inches high by 29 inches wide) hosta has
green foliage with creamy yellow streaked variegation.
The leaves are broadly ovate, heavily corrugated,
slightly rippled and slightly shiny on top.
Pale lavender, tubular flowers bloom from late June into July on
yellow streaked scapes about 42 inches tall.
The registration information states, "...heavy
substance; dark green and yellow glaoucous leaves;
"bold, soaring, sturdy"..."
