According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this is a "...sport of a 'Fortunei' type,
not 'Fortunei Gigantea' as originally registered..." by
Mark Zilis of Illinois in 1985. This
large (23 inches high) plant has slightly wavy, smooth textured leaves. In
mid to late July, it bears pale lavender flowers.
Zilis continues, "I was
disappointed when I realized that 'Snow Crust' was not a
mutation of 'Fortunei Gigantea'. I have been pleasantly
surprised, however, at how it has developed as a garden plant."
