A sport of H. 'Tokudama', this cultivar grows into a medium size hosta about 17 inches high and 38 inches wide with oblong to ovate foliage. The leaves are moderately corrugated and sometimes cupped. Its near white flowers bloom starting in late June. 'Smokey Tokey' was registered in 1998 by Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan.
