season blue-green and turns medium green by mid-July.
The leaves are slightly corrugated with red dotted
petioles. Pale lavender flowers bloom from August into
September followed by viable seeds.
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "The ethereal gray-blue leaf gradually loses the
heavy indumentum on its upper surface as the leaf turns
gray-green."
