this large size (20 inches high by 40 inches wide) cultivar is an
upright growing seedling of H. 'Elegans' ×
H. montana 'Aureomarginata'. The dark green
foliage is nearly round, moderately cupped, corrugated
and has a glaucous bloom on top. Near white flowers
bloom from June into July on scapes 20 to 26 inches
tall. It sets seeds but their viability was not known at
the time of registration. The
registration materials state: "...Round, cupped and
corrugated leaves of heavy substance...darkens slightly
as the season progresses."
