this is a small size (8 inches high by 22 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Halcyon' ×
H. 'Leather Sheen'. It has dark green leaves that
are lanceolate, moderately twisted, wavy and very shiny
on top. Pale lavender flowers with 3 darker lavender
stripes bloom from June into July.
The
registration materials state: "...Extremely dark, glossy green,
moderately twisted narrow
pointed leaves face upward &
outward. Unique bluish-silver
sheen in certain light & photos.
Slug resistant. Overall effect
is tidy, refined and striking
when viewed from any angle...One
of the last to succumb to the
cold, and remains dark glossy
green throughout the season."
