Registered by Olive Bailey Langdon of Alabama in 1985, this cultivar is a sport of H. 'Butter Rim'. It is a miniature size (4 inches high by 6 inches wide) hosta with green foliage that has a white medial (center) variegation. Pure white flowers bloom from late July into August followed by viable seeds.

There is also a German cultivar named H. 'Silberlöffel' which means Silver Spoon.
