Hosta 'Silk Kimono'

A cross between H. 'Dorothy Benedict' × H. montana, this cultivar was registered by Hideko Gowen of Minnesota and Hans Hansen of Minnesota in 1999. This large size (26 inches high by 59 inches wide) plant has an upright form and very wavy foliage. It produces pale lavender flowers from mid-July into August.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), this cultivar "...is the favorite of many hosta collectors, and with good reason. The flowing, arching mound habit makes it a good candidate for the center of the island bed."

The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by Diana Grenfell (2009) states: "Leaf tips arch down conspicuously."
