Registered by
Peter and Jean Ruh of Ohio in
2005 on behalf of the originator, Heinz Klose of
Staudengärtnerei Klose in Germany, this cultivar is of unidentified parentage.
It is
a miniature size plant about 5.5 inches high by 15 inches
wide with blue-green,
Tardiana-type foliage. The leaves are ovate,
slightly cupped, slightly folded, slightly wavy and have
thick substance. It bears pale lavender flowers in
September.
The
registration materials state: "...nice blue cast,
German Tardiana."
The New Encyclopedia of Hostas by
Diana
Grenfell (2009) states: "One of a collection of unnumbered and unnamed
Tardiana Group seedlings acquired by the German nursery
and hosta collector, the late Heinz Klose."
