this large size (26 inches high by 48 inches wide),
upright cultivar is an open-pollinated seedling of H. 'Old
Rough House'. The nearly round, blue-green foliage is
heavily corrugated, moderately cupped, slightly twisted,
slightly folded and dull on top. Pure white, fragrant
flowers bloom in June on scapes 30 to 35 inches tall
followed by viable seeds. The
registration materials state: "...Vase shaped
rugose clump with medium white backs, great substance
and seersuckered leaf texture...leaves turn blue-green
later in the season." |
