of Northern Grown Perennials in Wisconsin this fast
growing, large size (22 inches high by 36 inches wide)
cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Green
Marmalade'. Its leaves are various hues of
marbled green with a white marginal variegation. The
foliage is slightly shiny on top, broadly ovate and
mostly flat overall. Pale lavender flowers bloom in July
on scapes 28 to 32 inches tall followed by viable seeds.
The registration
materials state: "...Elongated, sharply pointed
arrowhead shaped leaves with clean white edging on green
centers. Several hues of green are evident, often with a
distinct marbled effect. Streaks of color often extend
out to the leaf edges. Overall glossy
appearance...consistent coloration through the season." |
