Originated by
Heinz Klose of
Staudengärtnerei Klose in Germany, this small size, non-registered
cultivar is of unidentified parentage of an
H. sieboldii
type. This is a small size (6 inches high) plant has narrow elliptical,
green leaves with white medial (center) variegation. The
leaves are moderately rippled with smooth texture and thin
substance. Purple
flowers are borne in August and it forms many seed pods.
The Genus HOSTA by
W. George Schmid (1991) says,
"Name is German for Snow White."
