This cultivar is the stabilized sport of a streaked H. longissima seedling which was registered by Greg Johnson of Iowa in 2004. Semi upright in form, this plant forms a small size mound of very narrowly elliptic foliage that has smooth texture. It bears funnel shaped, medium purple flowers in August.
