Originated in Japan, this
non-registered cultivar is of unidentified parentage. It was
first thought to be a species but
Schmid (1991) reduced it to cultivar status. The hosta is of a medium size about 14 inches high by 42
inches wide. Its leaves are broadly ovate, slightly
rippled and curly at the tip.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Schmid (1991) state that plants with this label in North
America do not exhibit prunosity and cannot be the true
'Sacra'."
Prunosity means that the leaves
have a dusty coating or bloom on them. |
