This hybrid of two hostas
called "Hadrava Seedling RD-BS" x "Hadrava Seedling RD-998" was registered in 2000 by
Jerry Hadrava of Iowa. The medium size plant grows to around 12 inches
in height with a spread of about 28 inches. Its green
foliage has yellow to creamy white streaked variegation
that may stabilize into a leaf with yellow to creamy
white marginal variegation. The leaves are shiny,
slightly wavy and have smooth texture. Medium purple
flowers bloom from mid-July into August.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...registered as a streaked cultivar...tends to
stabilize to the white-margined form."
