This cultivar of unidentified parentage was registered by the Russ O'Harra Hosta Society on
behalf of the originator, Russ O'Harra of Iowa in 1999. It forms a small, 10 inch high
mound of foliage with thin substance. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "This gets my nomination for the most misspelled hosta. The
most common misspelling is 'Roseanne'."
As
in Roseanne Barr, but this one is named as in Rosanne
Cash.
