This cultivar which was originated by
Handy Hatfield
of Ohio is, according to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "listed as a sport of 'Fortunei Stenantha
Variegated'..." aka H. 'Fool's
Gold'. It was registered in 2009 on behalf of
Handy by
Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar).
'Rhapsody' forms a large size (24 inches high by 55
inches wide), semi-upright mound of green foliage with a white marginal
variegation. The leaves are slightly rippled, ovate and has deep veins. Pale
lavender, funnel shaped flowers open in July.

underrated."
