This cultivar is an
open-pollinated seedling of a streaked sport of H. 'Big Kahuna' which was originated by
Virginia and Brian Skaggs of Indiana and
Madelon Gilligan of New Zealand. It was registered by Gilligan
in 2015. It is an upright growing, medium size (11
inches high by 24 inches wide) hosta with intensely
blue-green foliage that has a golden yellow to
chartreuse marginal variegation.
The leaves are nearly
round, moderately corrugated and have a glaucous bloom
on top. Its petioles are streaked and the plant blooms
from late June into July. It sets seeds but their
viability was not known at the time of registration.
