of Northern Grown Perennials in Wisconsin this
large size (28 inches high by 40 inches wide) cultivar is
a seedling of H. 'Burnished
Brass' ×
H. 'Cynthia'.
It is a green hosta with "brassy" gold to chartreuse
medial (center) variegation. The leaves are slightly
shiny on top, broadly ovate and moderately corrugated
overall. Pale lavender flowers with lighter lavender
stripes bloom in July on scapes about 32 inches tall
followed by viable seeds.
The registration
materials state: "...Leaf centers express various
tones of brassy gold to chartreuse. Green borders jet
into the leaf centers with abandon...brassy gold tones
increase as season progresses."
