Danny Van Eechaute of
Belgium registered this hybrid of H. 'Sea Octopus' × an unnamed hosta
in 2011. The large size plant grows to around 20 inches in
height with a spread of about 30 inches. Its leaves are medium
green, slightly rippled, slightly twisted, moderately wavy and
dull on top. The name comes from the intensely red petioles.
Pale lavender, tubular flowers bloom from June into July. It
sets viable seeds.
