Originated by
Dan Wols
of Illinois, this cultivar was registered by
Cindy Tomashek
of Minnesota and
Shades of Green
Hosta Society in Minnesota in
2021
as a sport of H. 'Liberty'. It is a large size (26 inches high by
38 inches wide) hosta with medium blue-green foliage
that has greenish yellow marginal variegation. The
broadly ovate leaves are very slightly cupped and
slightly wavy. It bears near white, tubular flowers that
bloom from July into August
and sets seed but their viability was not known at the
time of registration.
According to the Registration materials: "Margin is darker than H.
'Liberty' and darkens further during the season while
remaining visible throughout."
