Ron Livingston of Michigan originated this medium size, non-registered
seedling selection. The foliage is green and slightly
wavy. Bright purple flowers bloom in August.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "The foliage...is not much to look at...Examine the
flowers. From the outside, the color appears to be a
consistent purple, but the interior reveals the
tremendous value of this plant. Three tepals display a
very pale, almost white color with a bit of purple
striping near the base, while the other three are
distinctly purple striped from base to tip...'Elp 2'also bears this alternating tepal trait, though less
pronounced."
