 This
self-pollinated seedling of
H. 'Frances Williams' was registered by
Dr. Kevin Vaughn of Massachusetts in 1977. The blue-green foliage of this large size plant is heavily
corrugated, unruly, slightly cupped and has thick substance. Its
near white flowers bloom from mid-June into July. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...was one of Kevin Vaughn's efforts to produce better
blue-leaved hostas. It improves significantly on 'Elegans' in
the intensity of its blue foliage color."
