Registered by
Charles Kwick of Wisconsin in
2017,
this large size (18 inches high by 38 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H.
montana 'Aureomarginata'. The medium green leaves
are ovate, slightly folded, flat at the margins,
slightly shiny on top and very shiny on the bottom.
Medium lavender flowers with white stripes bloom from
mid-July into August on scapes 24 to 36 inches tall. The
registration materials state: "...Very plain,
velvet green foliage. Shiny reverse reveals a very
narrow, almost unnoticeable line around the each leaf
edge...darkens very slightly as the season progresses."
Of course,
do not confuse this with H. 'Plain
Jane in a Frilly Skirt'.
