Originated by
Olga Petryszyn
of Indiana, this cultivar was registered in
2021
as a seedling of H. 'Sagae' × H. 'Tokudama
Flavocircinalis'. It is a large size (26 inches high by
50 inches wide) hosta with pale bluish gold to light
blue-green foliage. The
broadly ovate leaves are slightly folded, moderately
corrugated and moderately cupped. It bears near white,
tubular flowers that bloom from June into July and sets
viable seeds.
According to the Registration materials: "Starts out a light bluish gold
developing an iridescent coating from powdery turquoise
to gold, giving the leaves a “pearlescent’ effect.
Upright, spreading to a large mound of corrugated
slightly folded leaves and prolific flowers...more gold
later in the season or with sun, leaves will be more
yellow green..."
