this medium size (14 inches high by 36 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H.
montana 'Aureomarginata'. The dark green leaves are
slightly rippled, slightly folded, corrugated and
slightly shiny on top. Very pale lavender flowers bloom
from mid-July into August on scapes up to 40 inches
tall. It sets seeds but their viability was not known at
the time of registration. The
registration materials state: "...Low mound of dark
shiny leaves...darkens slightly throughout the season."
