Originated by Hajime Sugita of Japan and Peter Ruh of Ohio, this non-registered cultivar is a 2002 hybrid of H. kikutii "White Back" × H. gracillima "White Back".

There are parenthesis " around the names because they are not really cultivar names but just an informal descriptions of the plants used in the cross. Also, Mr. Hajime Sugita lives in Okazaki, Japan.
