Registered by Ed Schulz of Iowa in 2009, this
medium size (16 inches high by 41 inches wide) cultivar
is of unidentified parentage. It has greenish yellow foliage
that is moderately flat, slightly rippled and dull on
top. Tubular flowers bloom on scapes 30 to 44 inches
tall. According to the registration materials: "...deep veins, flower habit, long scapes held
horizontal..."
An article in
The
Hosta Journal, (2017 Vol. 48 No 1), states that
the Ohh! stands for Old Home Hostas and Alpha is a small town in
Iowa.
