Ran Lydell of
Cooks Nursery and Eagle Bay Gardens in New York registered this fast growing
cultivar of unidentified parentage in 2001. It is a medium size plant
that grows about 14 inches tall and spreads about 35 inches in
diameter. The leaves are heart shaped, slightly corrugated and
of average substance. Pale purple flowers are borne in clusters on fasciated
(thickened) scapes from late July into August.
The
MyHostas Database website says that 'Oh My Heart', "...is probably the
heaviest blooming hosta we've seen
anywhere..."
