'Northern Mystery'
 

 

This cultivar from Clarence (C.H.) Falstad, III of Michigan is a sport of H. 'Northern Mist' and it was registered on his behalf by Kevin Walek (Hosta Registrar) in 2009. 'Northern Mystery' grows into a large size hosta about 19 inches in height with a width of 48 inches. The leaves are blue-green on the margins with mottled green and white in the center. They are slightly rippled, heavily corrugated, broadly ovate and has glaucous bloom on top. It bears near white flowers from June into July and sets viable seeds in blue-green pods.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...form of 'Northern Mist' with the greatest misting and mottling...Hybridizers utilizing this plant have found interesting results."
