this small size (10 inches high by 32 inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Country
Candied Confection' × (H. 'Astral Bliss' ×
H. 'Purple Verticulated Elf'). It is an intensely
blue-green hosta with broadly ovate leaves that are
moderately rippled, moderately wavy, moderately
corrugated with glaucous bloom on top. The foliage has
variable cupping, twisting and downward tips from leaf
to leaf.
Pale lavender flowers with medium lavender
centers and translucent margins bloom in August on scapes 12 to 15 inches tall. It sets seeds in blue-green
pods but their viability was unknown at the time of
registration. The
registration materials state: "...Mound of heavily
rugose intense blue green leaves. Holds up well until
frost." |
