Philips of Belgium in 2010, this
fast growing cultivar
is of hybrid of H. 'Katsuragawa Beni'.
It is a medium size hosta about 11 inches high by 35
inches wide with medium green foliage. The leaves are
lanceolate, slightly rippled and have a glaucous bloom
on the bottom. Its petioles are brownish-red in color.
Striped flowers bloom from mid-August into September on
scapes up to 26 inches tall.

beni as red or rouge and the the term -gawa or -kawa as river.
