Danny Van Eechaute of Belgium registered this fast growing, small size (7 inches high by 10 inches wide) sport of H. 'Golden Needles' in 2013. It has green leaves with gold streaked variegation and thick substance. The foliage is broadly ovate, slightly wavy and dull on top. It bears deep purple, tubular flowers with white stripes that bloom from July into August.

There is also a cultivar named H. 'Needle Point'.
