Bob Solberg of Green Hill Farm in North Carolina in
2003, this cultivar is a cross of the species, H.
nigrescens
x H. 'Tokudama Aureonebulosa'. True to its heritage, it forms a
vase shaped mound of foliage that has thick substance and is
cupped. The large size plant measures about 26 inches in height and a width
of over 50 inches. Pale lavender flowers atop 40 inch scapes
bloom in July into August.
