This sport of H. 'Dorothy' was registered by
Bill Silvers of Georgia in 2002. It forms a large size mound with blue-green foliage that
changes to dark green as the summer progresses. The medium size plant is
about 16 inches high with a spread of 40 inches. Pale lavender
flowers bloom from mid-July into August. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "I can only conclude that 'Natalie' did not sport out of
'Dorothy' but is instead actually a sport of a
H. 'Sieboldiana'-type, most likely 'Blue Angel'."
