Originating in
Japan and registered by
Peter and Jean Ruh of Ohio in 2010
and
re-registered
with new data in
2018, this
medium size (17 inches high by 18 inches wide)
cultivar is of unidentified parentage.
It is a fast
growing, upright hosta with green leaves that are moderately
rippled, slightly corrugated, moderately folded, elliptic
and slightly shiny on top. The flowers are purple with
white stripes, tubular in shape and borne on scapes 36
inches tall. Seed set was unknown at the time of
registration. According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...a long-standing cultivar that has occasionally been
offered for sale."
