Originated by
Walters Gardens,
Inc. of Michigan, this non-registered cultivar is a sport of H. 'Blue
Mouse Ears'. This is a tetraploid plant that
is "short and stocky" compared to the mother plant.
It is a slow growing, small size hosta with blue-green
foliage that turns dark green later in the season. The
leaves are nearly round and slightly cupped. In July, it
bears clusters of pale purple flowers but is sterile so
does not produce seeds.
