This miniature size (4 inches high by 9 inches wide) hosta of unidentified parentage was registered by Randy Goodwin of Indiana in 2009. The foliage is greenish yellow, lanceolate, slightly folded, slightly wavy, moderately cupped and slightly shiny on top. Its foliage changes to more yellow as the season progresses. 'Munchkin Fire' bears tubular, medium lavender flowers with light stripes and translucent edges in July.
