This is a non-registered cultivar that is a seedling selection with a H. 'Sieboldiana' background from Dr. Ed Elslager of Michigan. It forms a large, upright mound with broadly ovate, heavily corrugated leaves with thick substance. The cultivar was named by Van Wade of Wade and Gatton Nursery (Closed 2019) of Ohio in honor of the originator.
