Originated by Hajime Sugita of Japan but registered in 1999
by Peter Ruh of Ohio on his behalf, this
upright growing cultivar is a hybrid of
H. 'Sieboldiana'. It is a giant size hosta about 33 inches high by 40
inches wide with golden yellow foliage that has a light
yellow gold marginal variegation. The leaves are heavily
rippled and dull on top. Bell shape flowers bloom from
late June into July on scapes up to 32 inches tall.
