Hosta 'Moon Dance'

This is one of those cases where there are multiple hostas with the same name. One is registered and, therefore, the "official" version of H. 'Moon Dance' while the others are non-registered plants and need to be renamed to avoid further confusion.

There is also a cultivar named H. 'Moondance'.

Don Dean of Minnesota registered this hybrid of H. 'First Impressions' × H. 'Gig Harbor' in 2011. It is a medium size hosta about 18 inches high with a spread of around 42 inches. The leaves are yellow with a creamy white marginal variegation. They are slightly rippled, broadly ovate, slightly folded, slightly wavy and moderately corrugated. Pale lavender, tubular flowers bloom from June into July.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Bill Janssen of Collector's Nursery is credited with the other 'Moon Dance'..."
