The result of the cross of an
unnamed seedling (H. 'Beatrice' F6
x H. 'Blue Moon') x
H. plantaginea, this cultivar was registered by
Wm and Eleanor Lachman of Massachusetts in 1995. It grows to 17 inches in height by
4 feet in width with foliage that is slightly wavy, slightly
corrugated and with average substance. The very pale purple
fragrant flowers form dense clusters and bloom in late July.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "A very similar-looking plant with
lavender flowers that open in July and are not fragrant has been
sold under this name for a few years."
