David Heinz of Michigan registered this hybrid of H. 'Saishu Jima' in 1992. It is a medium size plant about 10 inches high with a spread of 20 inches. The bright gold, narrow foliage is rippled.

According to The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "...acts more like a seedling of H. seiboldii 'Subcrocea' than 'Saishu Jima'."
