Ron Simmering of Iowa registered this seedling of H. 'Sagae' in 2003. It grows into an upright giant size plant about 34 inches tall with a spread of 65 inches. The bright gold foliage is slightly rippled and has good substance. Pale lavender flowers bloom from late July into August.
