Originated by Dr. Doug Beilstein of Ohio
and registered by
Bob & Barb Schroeder of Illinois in 2016, this
upright growing, medium size (12 inches high by 36
inches wide) cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Goddess
of Athena' × H. montana 'Aureomarginata'. It is a
mixture of medium to dark green, greenish yellow to
blue-green with a creamy white marginal variegation. The
leaves are broadly ovate, slightly wavy and slightly
shiny on top. Lavender flowers with mid-tepal stripes
bloom from June into July on scapes up to 20 inches
tall. The registration
materials state: "Quad-colors in leaf center include
med-green, dark-green, slightly blue-green &
greenish-yellow. Smaller than it's parent, H. montana
'Aureomarginata'.
