This medium size (14
inches high by 18 inches wide) cultivar is a sport of H. 'Gloriosa'
was originated by Naomi Simes and registered by
Ron Snyder of Minnesota in 1999. The leaves are dark green with yellow streaked
variegation and wide white margins. Its foliage is
moderately cupped, ovate and slightly shiny on top.
Medium lavender, tubular flowers bloom from late June
into July in Minnesota.
According to
The Hostapedia by Mark Zilis (2009), "Shoots that revert to 'Gloriosa' need to be rigorously
culled to maintain the true cultivar."
