this cultivar is a seedling of H. 'Harry van de Laar' ×
H. 'Smoke Signals'. It is a small size hosta about
7 inches high by 17 inches wide with slightly blue-green
foliage. The lanceolate leaves are slightly rippled at
the margins, slightly shiny on top and slightly wavy
overall. They have red speckled petioles. Pale purple
flowers with center stripes flower in August on purple
scapes about 14 inches tall. It sets seeds but their
viability was not known at the time of the registration. The
registration materials state: "...Red petioles with
some red up into the leaf. Nice wavy narrow, slightly
blue-green leaves with white backs." |
