cultivar is an upright and fast growing seedling of H. 'PeeDee
Gold Flash' ×
H.
nigrescens. This is a medium size hosta that
grows to about 18 inches in height by 25 inches in width
with yellow foliage. The leaves are dull on top, ovate,
deeply cupped and moderately corrugated overall with red
color at the base of the petioles. Pale lavender flowers
bloom from mid-August into September on yellow scapes
about 23 inches tall followed by viable seeds.
The registration
materials state: "...Bright yellow-gold cupped
leaves have red at the base of each petiole. Rugose with
upright posture...viridescent when grown in shade;
lightens with more light exposure." |
